Senior Software Engineer

Description

A small, growing software company is looking for a senior software engineer to develop and support a SaaS web application built using Ruby on Rails, Active Record, Postgres, Mongo, JQuery, Angular and Foundation. 3+ years of professional experience of web applications, 2+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience, as well as a thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and writings apps for responsive design. This full time position can be fully remote.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering or a related technical discipline as well as a demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through three or more years of related experience.

The ability to assess and effectively implement continuous improvement principles and techniques.

The ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects and provide status updates to the team at project milestones.

The ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, other teams and management.

Preference given to candidates with experience working independently and who are well versed in Agile and Continuous Integration methods.

Experience with small start-up teams is helpful.
