Description
Accountabilities:
- To build relationships with manufacturers and suppliers
- To obtain quotations and negotiate best prices
- To input purchase orders onto systems and update excel spreadsheets or other business documents with details
- To check invoices against PO's and obtain approval for payment
- Provide administrative support to Commercial and Bid Management teams as required
Safety:
Understand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to the work and ensure the team complies with these.
Help the team to understand and actively promote issues regarding health, safety & the environment.
Responsible for health, safety, environment within the area and leads by example to promote safe working practices.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role for a similar size and type of organisation.
Computer Literacy - intermediate level
Good numeracy skills - Mathematics GCSE Grade C or above
English - GCSE Grade C or above
Excellent communication skills - minimum of 2 years experience in customer relations required
Sage job costing experience preferred
Working Relationships:
Internally - Construction Services teams including Bid Management, Commercial, Operations
Externally - supply chain
Essential Skills:
Good communication, Team Player, Able to work on own initiative, Computer literate, Excellent organisational skills
