OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced Ember developer to join a great team working on purpose-driven projects. You will be building and launching applications for clients like TED, XPrize, Noodle.org, UCLA, Kaiser and the Smithsonian. We have a great loft space in Downtown LA's Arts District (with a 1966 Airstream Trailer that serves as an in-office conference room!) and would love for you to join us here, but are interested in talking to you no matter where you are in the world. We do have a preference for developers within a 3-hour deviation from PST, since it makes communication much easier.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Building user-facing and internal Ember apps
- Working with and supporting Ember and Rails developers
- Improving frontend app performance and reliability
- 1-2 years experience with EmberJS
- familiarity with Ruby on Rails applications
- Experience integrating Ember apps into a Rails platform
- Extensive experience developing javascript applications in frameworks (backbone, ember)
- Experience working with remote team
- Strong knowledge of Front End development including html5, sass, css3
- Experience with js package managers
- Strong understanding and experience with test driven development and experience writing JavaScript unit tests (Mocha, Chai, Jasmine, QUnit)
- Strong communication skills
- Love for building great experiences while writing with clean, DRY code
- A passion for helping others
