Description

I'm currently recruiting for the position of a DATABASE DEVELOPER.

The position is based in Bristol and is a contract opportunity, good length of 12 months on a renewable basis with excellent day rates.

Purpose of post: To develop and maintain the database infrastructure that underpins business information systems. To design build and implement corporate information systems.

Qualifications and experience:

* Educated to degree level (including further IT/Computer related or Maths studies) * Extensive experience in information systems development, data analysis and database design for RDBMS * Experience in creating business intelligence solutions using Microsoft tools (SSRS) * Experience in business and systems analysis and design * Experience in resolving complex technical problems within IT systems. * Experience in monitoring and managing complex high availability web IT based solutions, including knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery and "failover" solutions. * Experience in planning and leading technical projects.
Knowledge and learning:

* Knowledge of all aspects of relational database management and development in a networked, MS Windows PC environment. * Transact SQL, MS SQL Server 2012 development and administration including high availability solutions, IIS6/7.5 development and administration. * Knowledge of SQL Data Tools for BI - SSAS, SSIS, SSRS * Knowledge of MS Access, MS Word & Excel 2013. PC networks, Windows 2008 & 2012 R2 Server, Windows 7, TCP/IP, DHTML
