Director of Payments Strategy
Location: Milan, Italy
Company: Private Equity-backed Finances Services Organisation
Role Context: Following on from a Private Equity acquisition, this mid-sized FS Company requires a Director of Payments Strategy to identify trends and challenges in the Instant Payments market.
Ideal candidate: Senior Director with Instant Payments Strategy background in mid-sized or large FS organisations and Strategic Consultancy background. Preference for fluency in Italian.

Essential experience:
- Experience as a Payments Strategy Director is essential, with a background in the Payments or Financial Services industry.
- Experience of defining and setting Strategic Direction.
- Experience of working within a PE-backed organisation.
- Experience in Commercial Product Development.
- Experience of building and structuring commercial agreements.
- Experience of working in Payment Services at a senior level.
- Ability for budgeting and resource planning and ensuring these are deployed effectively across global offices.
- Driving forward the company's capability in the Instant Payments Market.
Leadership:
- Experience in a leadership position in a Payments or FS environment with a Strategic Consultancy background.
- Strong track-record in showcasing effective setting of the Strategic Direction in a Financial Services or Payments organisation.
- Ability to enable communication/co-ordination between the different functions within a business.
- Familiarity in working with a sizable internal development team as well as using external contractors and consultants/vendors.
- Experience in communicating the technology and business strategy to key stakeholders within a business.
