Platform/Solution Architect - Surrey - 6 Month ContractMy client a leader in their field are currently recruiting an experienced Platform/Solution Architect to work closely with their IT Programme Manager and other architects on the delivery of a significant greenfield transformation project. This is an initial 6 month contract that may extend.
The Platform/Solution Architect will have proven Container and Microservice experience and will significantly contribute to the design of a platform for this transformation project. This role will involve working as part of a team to create solution options to drive the platform design followed by the implementation of various frameworks. The Platform/Solution Architect will need to possess a strong knowledge of Open Source products as well as most of the following:
*A solid understanding of Platform Level Architecture
*Good knowledge of Docker, Docker orchestration and deployment
*Microservice Architecture
*Experience of Cloud Platforms ideally Amazon Web Services (AWS)
*Knowledge of NoSQL such as Cassandra and Couchbase
*Experience of working within an Agile framework
*Significant technical software development knowledge of .Net, Java, Mobile technology etc.
The Platform/Solution Architect will ideally start as soon as possible but the client could wait up to 4 weeks meaning this role maybe of interest to those in permanent employment looking to step into contracting.
