Description
An Offshore Wind Operator requires a Quality Inspector to focus on the Turbine Assembly at the Nacelle assembly plant in Castilla y Leon.This role is to start ASAP for a 1 month contract, reporting to the Project Manager.
The core task is to prepare an ITAP for the Organisation, co-ordination and consulting of quality related activities in the scope of the assembly factories and to also co-ordination of QC scope and QC inspectors on site.
Requirements:
Preparation of ITAP for the assembly of nacelles and hubs. Inspections and tracing of NCRs, Organisation (including Resource Planning) of the validation/verification/inspection and test activities for all deliveries of the yard including sub components parts in line with contractual agreed requirements and global standards.
- Preparation of ITAP (Inspection, Test and Audit Plan). Support the client's Fleet Engineers during performance of ITAP related tasks - Quality Activity Map
- Review of contractual elements, suppliers' inspection procedures, certificates and test plans; specially for nacelle and hub assembly & supply - internal audit
- Selection and evaluation of quality control resources in cooperation with the project and the global construction team - QPI
- Application of procedures for Risk-, Document-, Change-, NCR- and Claim Management in the packages and support of the Quality Control inspectors in the application of these procedures - internal audit.
- Monitor the corrective actions in place via inspections and report accordingly to ensure availability of materials - material availability
- Deliver Lessons Learned from the project and executed tasks to build up best practise - Lessons learned delivered
- Execution of Quality Control inspections according the valid Inspection and Testplan - Inspection record
University degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
Quality control method and skills, APQP, FMEA, Fault tree - Quality Manager or six sigma black belt
Non Destructive Testing - NDT level 2 Inspector
Corrosion protection knowledge - Training according GL or similar
Project Management skills - CAPM or PMP certificate or similar
Knowledge of Non Conformity Management Process
Standard Microsoft Office environment, EDM system
Supplier Management
Team leader experiences - SCC Certificate or similar, references as Coordinator
Requirements:
5 years as welding engineer
5 years' experience in corrosion protection
2-3 years in construction projects, infrastructure projects or marine projects
2-3 years' experience in application of quality methods in a none manufacturing environment functional leading of small expert teams
Construction sites in Europe
A Spanish/English bi-lingual skill would be preferred
