Responsibilities:

The Role

My clients ICT team is responsible for maintaining and developing systems to support the needs of the business.

This is a role that will require working closely with the business to agree requirements, document functional design and specifications, manage projects and complete testing and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, test and implement software
  • Analyse and document existing business processes with a view to establishing more efficient and effective business processes.
  • Work closely with key users and management to identify and document business weaknesses and efficiency opportunities
  • Work with fellow ICT team members to implement systems and process solutions as agreed with management
  • Effective communication to senior management on project status and ensuring adherence to agreed roadmaps
  • Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of such solutions to the end user community across Agribusiness

Qualifications:

Candidates would be expected to have a primary degree ideally in an ICT related discipline

Essential Experience

  • Experience in a similar role
  • A working knowledge of SQL ideally in an Oracle environment
  • Project management/leadership experience on a least one major ICT project
  • Experience of understanding both business and ICT needs and methodologies
  • Competence with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of implementing ICT systems in a similar environment

Desirable Experience

  • A working knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports
  • A working knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Basic Unix knowledge
  • Oracle DBA Skills
  • Toad For Oracle
