An embedded software engineer is required to join a leading technology company based in Nottingham, who specialise in the Consumer sector. They employ over 2000 people globally, with over 30000 cutomers who can use 30 of there subsidiaries and use of several R & D centers. The company are looking to expand their development in-house, and this would be due to expansion to help lead the software and electronics design.
Role: Electronic Design Engineer
Salary: upto £45,000 DOE
Location: Nottingham
The Role:
* Responsible for the hardware aspects of design and the successful integration with all software automotive management systems.
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, sales and installation teams as well as all in-house staff.
* Improve efficiency of the hardware design process, including fully testing and control of releases.
* Leading hardware design reviews as required to review ideas and schemes from other engineers and contractors.
Key Skills:
* Commercial experience in brushed d.c, brushless, stepper
* Understanding of PCB layout and working with external PCB companies
* Electronic Design - Analogue/Digital
* Good customer facing skills
* Degree or equivalent in software engineering or a relevant discipline
Desirable Skills:
* VHDL FPGA Design
* Real Time Systems
