Description
Senior IT Analyst who can work independently with defined problems on a highly-complex level within specific platform and competence area. Ideally you have 8+ years of experience with IT projects and 3+ years as IT Analyst
You will be responsible for the physical hardware, environments and installations on the runtime platform. Provides hardware and system settings for the various environments (eg test, UAT, production) and is responsible for operational support processes. strong insight into network and server setup, including OS/Linux knowledge. He/she should know the VDC setup, strategies for failover and monitoring etc. Strong Linux skills required. In-depth knowledge of relevant tools and technology. Drive the requirements process in IT. This involves capturing and documenting requirements and converting these into the foundation for IT design and development.
Your responsibilities:
- providing system resources like Servers, queues, cores, memory, users, and disk space
- monitoring the usage of these system resources, and ensure they are adequate for operating the system
- establishing monitoring of log files for system errors (but is not responsible for handling business-related errors)
- anchoring the system in CMIO and ensuring the correct procedures and strategies are in place for failover, monitoring, and logging.
- you will be the contact point and coordinator of communication towards VDC, CMIO, the Linux team, Weblogic team, MQ, and Service Centre.
- providing basic software, eg Java runtime environment, Weblogic server, Oracle database, MQ client
- not necessarily responsible for deploying IMSecurities but must ensure the prerequisites are in order
- Must be able to lead, train and coach other project members. Must be able to assume roles such as head integrator or specialist, in specific fields. Resolve business questions and problems for applications during software development to secure a coherent solution design.
