Senior Contract Developer - SQL
Currently seeking a Senior IT developer for a short term contract. The developer will be a talented software professional with a strong background in developing defined work process. You will join an existing team of developers who are responsible for the development and implementation of range of innovative software solutions. You will be encouraged for new ideas and participate in new product development, providing fresh insight and technical design solutions and enhancements for all new and existing products.
The role will entail:
Extraction of Data from a SQL database and converted in other formats including pipe delimited, xml
Interface to external system of data from the database to SEPA specification and General Ledgers
Process routine to archive, remove and rollback data in an automated process
Review and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures
Experience/Qualifications:
5+ SQL experience
A 3rd Level IT Qualification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
SQL Skills (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
Discipline of working in a continuous integration
Highly experienced in delivering commercial grade software globally
Has been pro-active in creating better user experience, consumer value proposition
Understands gaps in knowledge and has ability to source training
Experience in banking/finance sector desired but not essential
Good problem solver
Strong communication skills - verbal and written (as you will have to write documentation and possible demo the software)
Ability/experience in interacting with senior stakeholders
