Description

Change and Release Manager required for a market leading business based near Birmingham.

As a Change and Release manager, you will be responsible for;

- The effective protection of the IT landscape by leveraging industry best practices to ensure application and related changes are properly documented, approved, scheduled, developed, tested and promoted to Production.

- Ensuring the Release transition process is disciplined, rigorous and auditable minimising business disruption.

- Governing the Change and Release process and determining the readiness of each release based on release criteria (quality of release, environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and back-out plans and risk management plan).

- The Testing strategy, approach and tools.

Your key accountability's in this role will include;

- Working as a Subject Matter Expert for Change and Release Management

- Owning and governing the Change and Release process by instilling best practice policies and procedures and measuring compliance

- Planning and Managing releases to protect the integrity of the IT landscape.

- Investigating all incidents relating to Release failures and identifies and mobilises resources required to aid resolution and prevent recurrence

- Supporting continuous process improvement

- Ensuring compliance with Internal Control processes and procedures.

You will be working across a number of different projects, one that will require the attendance of SOX Compliance meetings. For this reason, it would be a huge benefit if you have experience in this areas (though this is not considered essential).

This role is expected to last 9 months and will be paid in the region of £300-£350/day dependent on your level of experience and suitability for this role.
