Job Summary

Core Systems Administrator

The individual in this position is responsible for overseeing specific aspects of Information Systems. A primary duty is the administration of the following systems: IBM i5 computer, Jack Henry's SilverLake core accounting system, IBM HMC Unix box that controls the i5, Interactive voice response unit (IVR), Yellow Hammer fraud software, and Report Archive system. Administrative tasks include patching and update installation. Technical support for Kronos timekeeping software and Visual Kron automatic job scheduler. Manage security for internal access to the systems administrated. Coordinate Wide Area Network providers; which include billing review. Assist in the assessment of new software systems. Design interfacing processes for different software systems. Generate complex reports. Assist in general planning of network design, which includes the Bank's voice system.

Control-Related and Security-Related Responsibilities

1. On-line Terminal access - Human Resources is to notify Network Operations and Data Security Administrator of terminations by e-mail as they occur. Users are to be removed from both network authorization as well as core accounting access.

2. On a yearly basis, the Data Security Administrator will send out a listing of menu access rights to applicable managers to ensure that the menu system accurately reflects employees and their duties.

3. Event log monitoring -Monitor and review GFI Events Manager for intrusion detection and event log management on the Bank's Domain Controllers. This data is provided for review and analysis via e-mail. Significant events are to be reported to the CAO immediately. Periodic management reports summarizing the findings must also be provided

Education and Experience

College degree in IT/IS or a related business major preferred.

Individual must have 2-3 years work related experience with Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP Professional and Office. In-depth knowledge of PC hardware, SQL and database administration. Familiarity with IBM i5 and understanding of Cisco voice standards. Understanding of QoS concepts in networking preferred.

Skills

Working knowledge of IBM Query Manager, SQL, CL, PDM, Client Access and IBM i5. Ability to reformat third party data. Know appropriate tools to create reports, extract files and automate data imports. Proficient in Access and Excel.

The individual must be detail-oriented and be able to organize projects, prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.

Excellent written and oral communication skills must be demonstrated. The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, in a professional and effective manner, with bank personnel. These skills must be demonstrated.

Exercise good judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with management, supervisors and employees.

Present a professional, business-like manner and appearance.
