WebOps Developer - Newcastle upon Tyne - 3 months initially - £/day/Ltd.
My client is a highly recognised government organisation who has multiple requirements for WebOps Developers to join them out of their Newcastle offices on an initial 3 months contract. Please note, successful candidate will undergo a Disclosure Scotland process prior to working on site.
Duties:
+ Work within a team of Agile Developers, Designers and Analysts
+ Operationally manage Linux Servers
+ Deliver complex web application stacks
+ Build and configure new server platforms along with the automated tooling
+ Testing, debugging and troubleshooting of platform level problems
+ Supporting development teams with configuring applications for deployment
Skills:
+ Strong understanding of common web application architectures
+ Exposure in configuring and managing Linux Servers for serving a dynamic website
+ Exposure in debugging a complex multi-server service
+ Scripting or basic programming skills
+ Familiar with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL etc
+ Strong technical foundation in build, release and environments
+ Ability to design and support build, deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier Java J2EE & .NET
+ Exposure with Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Travis-CI, Go
+ Oracle
