My client, an international electronics and information technology company, is looking for a highly experienced IC Analogue Engineer, to work on the design and manufacture of leading edge imaging products for use in remote sensing and thermal imaging applications, including earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems and laboratory equipment.

Our client design and manufacture leading edge imaging products for use in remote sensing and thermal imaging applications including earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems and laboratory equipment. An opportunity has arisen for a contract full-custom Layout Engineer to work in support of our IC Design team.
You will have strong analogue/mixed signal full-custom layout skills based on formal qualification and experience gained from working on complex IC designs. Working at transistor, cell or block level you will have the ability to translate captured schematic designs into verified (LVS & DRC) layout cells. You will also be required to complete block level and full-chip tasks, from floor planning and to full chip verification, including database preparation for foundry submission. Previous experience designing CMOS Readout ICs or imaging devices (including stitched reticle designs) would be an advantage.

Skills, qualifications & knowledge

Recognised degree in Electronics Engineering or Physics with Electronics IT/Linux/Unix literate, able to use industry standard IC design tools (Cadence IC615 preferred) for physical layout and verification (Assura/PVS).

Knowledge of deep submicron CMOS technologies
