Responsibilities
- Work directly with customer stakeholders to influence, define and agree the solution and systems architecture.
- Design End to End solutions in the area of OSS (Operational Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems) with main focus on OSS and more specifically in the areas of:
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Network provisioning
- Network Device and Customer Device Management
- Work Force Management
- GIS/NIS systems
- Service Monitoring & Management
- Customer Order and Relationships management
- Review functional and technical solution designs created by corporate architects, delivery teams and external vendors
- Maintain the solution architecture blueprint (application inventory and interface catalogue)
- Enforce architecture governance in line with corporate guidelines and industry best practices
- Contribute to Identify synergies and propose solutions for the consolidation of systems in line with the overall OSS Strategy
- Perform supplier solution/application review and acceptance
- Review vendor and industry developments and best practices.
Background:
Must have
- 10+ years' experience in architecture/solutions design in OSS/BSS systems in a Telco (ideally Cable operator) environment
- Strong technical background with hands on experience in systems integration, EAI design/implementation and/or Software Engineering
- Very good understanding of following technologies and architectures:
- Relational databases and Datamodelling
- Web applications architectures
- Service Oriented Architectures
- Application and network security architectures
- Understanding of TM Forum Frameworks: eTOM, TAM, SID and Integration Framework (TNA).Experience driving or involvement with major OSS or BSS transformation projects or programs.
- Experience in managing and driving suppliers and vendors in projects, including requirements definition, solution acceptance.
- Fluency in English
- Ability to influence and convince on several levels in the organization.
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-started/self-motivated to define visions, policies, processes and solutions and drive these to successful implementation; identify problems and present solutions.
