Safety Engineer (Contract)

My client is an engineering company providing specialist services in safety engineering, safety management and risk management. My client is seeking a number of Aviation Safety Engineers to support a surge in tasking up until the end of March 2016 (likely to extend further). The role will be to provide safety engineering support to in-service aircraft. Sentinel &/or Sentry experience highly desirable.

Working as a safety engineer with a minimum of two years post graduate training experience.
Experience of the application of Safety Risk Management processes to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement controls to reduce risk to an acceptable level is required.
Experience of working directly with clients and presenting information and findings in either a report or presentation format.

Experience Required:
Preferably a degree in an engineering discipline or extensive experience in domain.
Or a HNC/HND in an engineering discipline plus experience of working as a safety engineer, preferably in a defence or air environment.
Generation of safety programme plans with the project and customer and the promotion and realisation of that plan.
Understanding of safety management systems.
Safety assessment techniques.
Hazard management and risk analysis, including Fault Tree and Event Tree analysis.
Ability collect and analyse in-service safety information.
Construction of Safety Cases providing safety arguments, ALARP statements and Hazard logs.
Excellent report writing skills.
Presenting information and analysis to safety forums.

Must currently hold SC.
Will be required to work at client's site and attend meetings at various locations. This will involve overnight stays.
