Software Developer with Ruby, CoffeeScript, React

The team at Springboard Retail is looking for a full stack software developer. You should be comfortable building production ready software at all levels of the tech stack from our Ruby API platform to our ReactJS/CoffeeScript front end applications.

You will play a key role in developing our multi-tenanted web-based software as a service (SaaS) application suite and API platform. You'll have the opportunity to develop creative solutions to challenging problems and influence technology choices.

We're looking for a full stack engineer willing and able to work with a broad range of technologies. Our retail software is in use in multiple production deployments so we have real users to learn from and respond to.

This is a long term, full-time contract position. It doesn't matter where you're located. Remote work is no problem.

Skills & Requirements:

Experience you should have:

Ruby

JavaScript

HTTP/REST/JSON API design and implementation

SQL database design, querying, and optimization

jQuery

HTML/CSS

RSpec (or similar testing framework)

Git (or other DVCS)

Linux (or other *nix)

Bonus experience:

Computer Science (or related) degree

Chef, Puppet, or other configuration management system
