Independently develops and maintains software applications. Works on complex analytical and programming tasks, requiring knowledge of programming languages and data communications and general knowledge of the business operations / customer supported. Leads development and maintenance efforts supporting software application. May function as a project manager on smaller projects
Additional Job Details:
Position will be in a small Agile development team working on new development and re-engineering of current product solutions in the Risk Management Trading, Electronic trading, Agency FX and FX product areas. The team is based in the States and London and will use highly agile software development methodologies and deliver functionality in a rapid, incremental fashion.
Essential Products/Systems/Experience:
3+ years of Java programming experience, preferably working on low latency, high throughput globally distributed systems. A history of delivering successfully within an Agile environment, and the flexibility and adaptability to operate successfully in such an environment.
Essential Products/Systems/Experience
*Messaging frameworks (JMS, MQ, Tibco, 29West etc.)
*Market adaptors (EBS, Currenex, Hotspot etc.)
*Linux / Bash scripting
*FIX protocol
*Relational databases (Oracle, Sybase)
*Development and build tools (GIT/Subversion/TeamCity/Nexus/Maven etc.)
*Any experience of working within a financial institution, preferably within Front office IT
*HTML5/Javascript/CSS development
*Experience of Workflow and Rules Engines
