I am currently looking for a Regulatory Consultant with experience in Mortgages and Insurance to join one of my Banking clients based in Manchester for a long term contract.
Purpose:
To deliver expert advice and guidance to key stakeholders within the Bank, providing expert and pragmatic independent guidance, resulting in an effective second line of defence assurance unit. Provide leadership and subject matter expertise regarding Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk to key CBG stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Subject matter expert in regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services sector specifically Retail mortgages.
- In depth understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
- Detailed, up to date knowledge of internal and external Regulatory Risk developments and practices.
- Good knowledge and experience of managing regulatory risk.
- Detailed understanding of conduct risk and its applicability to Retail mortgages and its customers.
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Positive behavioural style with the ability to be demanding when appropriate.
- Decision maker, providing timely and insightful advice and recommendations.
- Ability to think strategically and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Experience of delivering and effecting change.
- Proven ability and experience of building strong networks.
- Experience of operating at a Mid Management level.
- Expert level of understanding and practical application of FCA requirements (primarily MCOB, ICOBS, SYSC, DISP and more wider knowledge of other FCA handbooks)
