Description
My client, a leading bank in London require a Senior Product Controller to join their team within the Divisional Controlling Department. The successful candidate will be required to produce and report the Credit Portfolio Management business explaining the accurate daily and monthly P&L submission to Finance Management. The products that the team work with include, CDS, CDS, TRS and interest rate swaps.
WHATS ON OFFER:
CONTRACT: 6 months
LOCATION: LONDON
RATE: £400 PER DAY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for daily P&(L) reporting on businesses under CPM on a timely and accurate basis both to Front Office and the Finance systems in accordance with reporting deadlines/requirements and including attaining daily trader sign off where appropriate.
- Monthly reconciliation of Flash P&(L) (RePortal) to actual reported P&(L) in SAP for the related functional units under responsibility with minimisation of breaks
- Produce and maintain MTD, QTD and YTD commentary by Counterparty for MIS reporting purposes.
- Proactively monitor controls pertaining to cash and integrity breaks and work closely with Operations and Front Office to ensure these are resolved within a timely basis.
- Actively participate into any projects related to area of control
- Work with other Finance teams including IPV and Financial Control internal P&L reporting.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fully qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or qualified via extensive technical experience and expertise
- Previous Product Control experience within an Investment Banking environment
- Ability to work through the complexities involved in controlling & reporting multi-instrument and multi-system booked transactions
- Strong understanding of technical accounting policies and standards relating to investment banking products
- Strong MS Excel skills essential
- Able to work to tight daily and monthly deadlines with an attention to detail
