Position Summary
  • Functions as a primary point-of-contact and technology subject-matter expert in collaboration with Risk Consulting, Healthcare and Global Risk Consulting to develop and deliver process improvements and related technology solutions.
  • Provides direction and thought leadership for initiatives, projects, problems and activities related to the identification, analysis, selection/development, implementation, training and ongoing support of technology tools/service delivery platforms used by Risk Consulting, Healthcare and Global Risk Consulting professionals in providing direct client services.
  • Ensures that mission critical applications are developed and supported in a manner that allows the Risk Consulting Business Unit's various service lines to collaborate with their clients and deliver market differentiated services.
  • Communicates to Risk Consulting leadership (or appropriate stakeholders) on any upcoming projects, maintenance, changes, etc. coming out of the IS organization that will impact Risk Consulting, Healthcare or Global Risk Consulting and help mitigate any impacts.
  • On behalf of these constituents, this role works within and across IS as an internal consultant and advocate to develop priorities and ensure strategic and tactical goals defined by the Risk Consulting Business Unit are met, consistent with firm wide strategies and architectures.
  • This includes managing any current or future demand for IS resources (human, technical or financial) through the development and management of a Risk Consulting portfolio of activity.
  • Coordinate and integrate Risk Consulting information technology enabling processes with revenue-generating technology platforms managed by Applied Technology.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Roadmap and Architecture Development and Delivery
  • Work with others, including outside parties where appropriate, to gather and synthesize information/requirements to develop a Risk
  • Consulting-specific Roadmap in support of operational and market strategies that is aligned with the enterprise architecture. This roadmap should be inclusive of the needs of all of Risk Consulting's solutions, industries, competencies and affiliates.
  • Perform research and provide recommendations in connection with the definition of future Risk Consulting Service Delivery Platform.
  • Work in conjunction with the Enterprise Architect and Business Analysts to recommend solution architectures.
  • Coordinate and act as a bridge between Risk Consulting, IS, Applied Technology, and the other BUs to ensure that information is shared, technology is potentially extended and Risk Consulting is represented in any projects or planning that may impact the Risk
  • Consulting practice. Work in conjunction with the representative to ensure that Risk Consulting is aware and knowledgeable of IS projects that will have impacts, or potential benefit, for the BU.
  • Contribute to the development of an overarching information architecture that supports Business Intelligence driven needs, including client and industry benchmarking.
  • Consult with security and infrastructure team members to ensure that solutions are designed to be highly available, deliver best-in-class response time performance, meet security requirements of typical contracts for Risk Consulting client base, comply with all country-specific security requirements for the USA, Canada, France, China and Japan, and support global delivery engagements.
  • Work with the IS Business Relationship manager to coordinate the prioritization of Risk Consulting initiatives with Risk Consulting stakeholders, Applied Technology leadership, and other IS personnel.
  • Solution Delivery, Improvement and Support
  • Provide thought leadership and technical direction for the firm's purchase, development/modification and implementation of Risk Consulting Service Delivery Platform and firm wide components needed to support Risk Consulting and its various go-to-market product/service lines worldwide.
  • Contribute to the analysis of business processes, definition of requirements, RFP development, and evaluation of third-party applications.
  • Respond proactively to identify, recommend, prioritize and deliver functional changes to increase operational efficiency, effectiveness, security, and recoverability.
  • Work with Risk Consulting Solution Leaders to qualify and prioritize application modifications, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Provide oversight and thought leadership to drive effective solution adoption and ensure accurate software licensing.
  • Contribute to the development of budgets and timelines for specific projects. Work with Project Managers and Executive Sponsors to resolve conflicts and issues between deliverables, other projects, and other activities.
  • Monitor support services for Risk Consulting-related applications to ensure performance levels meet agreed upon service levels.
  • Periodically validate the adequacy of service levels and work with others within IS to institute modifications as necessary.
  • Provide thought leadership to maximize the value realization of our technology investments through awareness training, the implementation of custom add-ons, and/or modifications
  • Due Diligence and Integration Efforts
  • With respect to the technology tools of acquired firms, contribute to the identification of all comparable and unique Risk Consulting service delivery tools, and make cost-effective recommendations for the approach and timing to rationalize disparate tools.
  • Oversee related conversion, implementation, training and support activities.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Maintain and share market intelligence and knowledge of applicable software, including those deployed by our competitors.
  • Gain competitive intelligence and represent "contribution to the profession" by participating in and developing relationships among peer ITA (Information Technology Alliance) member firms.
  • Participate in Vendor User Groups related to deployed Risk Consulting specific software solutions (eg, GRC).
SKILLS:

Position Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance solution offerings, including experience with GRC and Internal Audit software solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into RFPs and systems specifications (or to match them against third-party solution functionality) using techniques such as group facilitation; requirements elicitations and ranking; modelling, charting and prototyping.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and the ability to develop improvement action plans with groups.
  • Experience developing business-based Roadmaps, architecting solutions, navigating complex IS organizations, and prioritizing portfolios of competing priorities.
  • Must have experience and understanding of programming logic, data structures, workflow, data mining, analysis and reporting methods; technical writing and presentation.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, internal and/or external to the organization, including demonstration of a win-win approach and sense of urgency to meeting business requirements and solving conflicts.
  • Effectively adapts to and drives change.
  • Strong written, oral, presentation, and facilitation skills. Is comfortable working with and presenting to large groups
  • Detail orientated, with strong time management skills
  • Experience leading virtual teams and developing others through training.
  • Professional services/consulting industry experience.
  • Experience working in an organization with global operations.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in business, security, or technology preferred.
