Computer People | Electrical CAD Designer | 9 Month Contract | Leicester
Computer People are proud to be recruiting an Electrical CAD Designer for a manufacturing client based in Leicester.
This is initially a 9 month contract that is likely to extend further due to the length of the project.
The Role
As a contract Electrical CAD Designer you will prepare high quality accurate engineering drawings and associated documentation in support of verification, implementation and operational activities.
You will be joining a large project design team who are Matrix managed onto multiple projects at a time. You will be generating electrical system designs based on selected concept/scheme drawings taking into account 3rd party interfaces, operational impacts, homogeneous systems, safety systems, system architecture, equipment processes etc
Key Skills
* At least 3 years' practical experience in an electrical engineering design office.
* Have good knowledge & understanding of electrical engineering for medium and low voltage power distribution, instrumentation and related cabling, panel design for motor starters and PLC systems
* The ability to produce high quality accurate engineering drawings to support activities such as system layouts, general arrangements and parts lists.
* Have a thorough working knowledge of AutoCad 2D
The Company
As this is a manufacturing client, a contractor who comes from a logistics, manufacturing or warehousing background & has a keen interest in engineering design is ideal for this role. The client work to very tight deadlines with no room for error so they require their contractors to be able to manage their own workload & to work autonomously.
Location
This role is based full time on the client site in Leicester so is easily commutable from areas such as Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coventry, Rugby, South Nottingham & parts of Northampton.
