Your responsibilities include:
Site Maintenance & Enhancement
Assess, repair, maintain and monitor our three WordPress websites
- Detect root issues and implement long-term solutions
- Design, code, unit-test, build, and deploy web applications as needed
- Troubleshoot website when needed
- Ensure site performance is at the highest leveloConduct website speed and performance auditingoAnalyze existing plugins and design choices on performance
- Ensure site uptime of 99.99% o Define redundancy strategy
- Work with third-party server administrators to monitor siteavailability
- Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device compatibility
- Assist in optimizing website for user engagement and retention
- Provide input to improve site architecture, layout and content
- Prevent, detect and cleanup of Malware
- Monitor security
- Mitigate DDoS
- Stop website attacks and hacks
- Maintain website login blacklist/whitelist
- Word Press plug-in/framework assessment and implementation
- Implement zero day response mechanism
Required Skills
- 3+ years of web development
- 2 years creating WordPress sites from scratch, developing themes, and plug-ins
- Skilled in frontend and backend responsive development
- Intimate understanding of LAMP, HTML 5, CSS 3, Object Oriented JavaScript,and Bootstrap.
- Experience managing Apache web server (vhost configuration, htaccess rules, etc.), NGINX, 3rd Party API’s
- Follow best practices coding techniques
- Experience with web application security and common exploits
- Awareness of latest security issues and technologies, including testing tools and techniques
- Posses clear understanding of security protocols and standards and have experience with software and security architectures.
- Understanding of protocols, such as, SSL/TLS, CIFS, HTTP/S, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP/Sand DNS
- Excellent UI skills; proven design competency
