We have an exciting opportunity in a prestigious EU institution for a SharePoint Developer with proven experience with to perform various tasks related to the Document Management System (DMS) application.
Typical tasks will include:
- Configuration, development, testing and maintenance of the Document Management System
- Research, document, and implement requirements and specifications in collaboration with the DMS team
- Contribute in planning and architecting solutions
- Perform data migration tasks
- Be responsible for documentation as required to ensure project and technical standards are maintained
- Analyse test results for the purpose of correcting mistakes, bug fixing, isolating areas for improvement, and debugging
- Identify the cause of problems, document, and develop an immediate, short-term, and/or long-term solution
- Create deployment packages, guidelines, documentation and contribute in deployments to testing/production environments
- Store up to date project sources and documentation in ECDC's Team Foundation Server
- Provide 3rd Line Support
Qualifications and experience required
- University degree with minimum 4 years of experience in IT OR non university degree with minimum 3 years of experience in IT
- experience with application development using SharePoint (SharePoint object model, event receivers, web parts, content types, Business Data Catalogue, extending SharePoint web services, Managed Metadata Services, solution packaging and scripted deployment using PowerShell),
- Experience using .NET technologies (technologies: C#, .NET 3.5 or higher, WCF, and LINQ, as well as T-SQL and MS SQL 2008R2/2012).
- Previous experience with migration/upgrade projects from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013, including data migration is requested, as is knowledge and experience with unit testing in SharePoint.
- Ideally knowledge about Scripting (technologies: JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, HTML/XHTML and CSS)
- Previous experience using any of the following technologies: Visual Studio , SharePoint Designer, Team Foundation Server, MS SQL Management Studio/MS SQL Profiler, RedGate SQL Compare and RedGate SQL Data Compare is highly appreciated.
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment
- Experience in team working
Language requirements: Good English (oral/written)
