Finance/Controller Statutory Reporting
Job description
- The position will be part of the Controlle's group within our client's Finance division, reporting to the Europe Controller.
- Europe Controllers Group is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financials in partnership with the GBSC and providing advisory support to the
business teams across a number of areas including accounting & controls, deal structures and M&A.
- The core mission of the jobholder is to coordinate Statutory Reporting process within Europe, support Cash Management activities and US GAAP reporting activities.
- Interest to apply your accounting experience and work in collaboration with Tax and Accounting teams.
- Interested in participating in significant projects related to ORM, M&A and new entities creation.
The role
- Statutory Reporting for MC Europe entities:
- Coordinate and validate accounting and statutory reporting compliance within Europe; including supervision of external consultant, GAAP conversion and adjustments,
review of statutory accounts and annexes.
- Manage the relationship with external provider;
- Manage effectively and coordinate statutory audit;
- Ensure all statistical reporting obligations are met;
- Financial Integrity, reporting tasks
- Coordinate with GBSC to resolve issues identified to ensure financial integrity of books;
- Promote and maintain a strong control environment (SOX, BCP, process docs,&)
- Cash Management activities preparation of manual payments.
- Other - Propose and implement process improvements and actively participate in ad-hoc projects (i.e. Operational Risk Management, subsidiary set-up, branch creation)
Your Profile
- CPA or relevant accounting certification
- BIG 4 audit experience preferred
- Oracle R12 Financial experience preferred; Hyperion experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong analytical skills and structure
- Stress resistant, team player, able to achieve goals and overcoming obstacles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, high sense of initiative and urgency
- Experience in leading projects and worked with various stakeholders to achieve common goal
- Interest to apply your accounting experience and work in collaboration with Tax and Accounting teams
- Experience in leading projects and worked with various stakeholders to achieve common goal
- Interested in participating in significant projects related to ORM, M&A and new entities creation.
- Fluency in English required
- High PC skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
