GIS Solutions Developer (Open source/AngularJS)
The Opportunity:
A GIS Solutions Developer is required to be based in Edinburgh for an initial three months to work on a technically complex and innovative digital transformation project. Candidates will undergo security clearance for these roles.
Job Description:
- Design and implement GIS applications that are based on ArcGIS, open source and related technologies
- Experienced in .NET or Java development design technologies and design patterns
- Familiar in server and client side frameworks like Dojo, JQuery/AngularJS
- GIS Data Analysis and management
- Design and development of new applications envisaged in enterprise system and it's integration
- Good understanding of UI/UX design, and proven ability to work with external UI/UX consultants
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and is able to suggest areas for improvement in their internal processes along with possible solutions, through effective contributions in business meetings
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter with good interpersonal skills
