eWork is direct supplier to our customer - there are no extra middlelayer. This means that we have good contact with procurement and in many cases, know the stakeholder and his needs.
For our customer we are looking for a Senior IT Analyst - Trading Data Warehouse
You will be required to:
1) Work closely together with the business product owners and business SME's to understand, define and detail business requirements for the Trading Data Warehouse and to define the appropriate data designs
2) Structure, design and document the data models that will support business reporting/information needs
3) Work together with technical teams to understand the source data, transformations applied to source data and define the requirements for ETL solutions to populate the warehouse
4) Develop detailed specifications representing design of data solutions for the technical teams
5) Support ETL development activities when needed
6) Apply best-practice concepts and standards to Datamodelling
You have skills and experience in:
1) Strong skills in dimensional Datamodelling. Datamodelling experience in general (E-R modelling, UML modelling etc.)
2) Experience across all phases of Datamodelling from white-board style conceptualization exercises' with business stakeholders to detail level designs for the technical teams
3) Ability to envision and detail out data model designs to meet current and anticipated business reporting/information needs
4) Extensive business and/or systems analysis skills that support data warehouse design and development
5) Experience with Datamodelling tools - CA ERwin Data Modeller & IBM Data Architect
6) Excellent SQL knowledge
7) Excellent communication & people skills
8) Capable of working independently with minimal direction
9) Superior organizational skills
Also very useful to have:
1) Domain knowledge in Capital Markets - trading, risk, post-trade processing, P&L, reference data etc. Knowledge of financial products.
2) Strong Business Intelligence experience/understanding of its use in the Business
