Description

Electrical engineering manager (Wind Power, LV design, integration - MV/HV components, SCADA)

Do you want to make a difference in one of the leading energy companies in Northern Europe?

Join us and become an electrical engineering manager in Substations Electrical & Commissioning Management, which is responsible for LV design and installations, integration management and commissioning management of electrical installations.

Together with committed colleagues, you will manage the integration of MV/HV components and SCADA into the substation's design. You will be the technical project manager handling interfaces between LV systems, MV/HV components and SCADA systems.

The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in the Engergy Company. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.

You will be based in either Jylland or the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility

You will be a member of our committed team of substation electrical engineering managers working with electrical and mechanical installations on our substations, from design to execution and hand-over to operation and maintenance. You will coordinate tasks between project participants and suppliers within the electrical and utility field and be responsible for the integration of MV/HV/SCADA equipment.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • be responsible for LV and utility design and installation in a project
  • prepare technical requirements in a project
  • coordinate and manage specialists in a project
  • follow up on time schedules, progress and results from contractors and suppliers
  • participate in project team meetings and in clarification and negotiation meetings with suppliers.

Your profile

You hold a relevant degree in electrical engineering or similar and are interested in working with electrical infrastructure for substations. It is essential that you have extensive, relevant technical project management experience and knowledge of LV systems, ideally including experience with high-voltage installations.

It is preferable if you have experience with PMI terms, but not a requirement.

As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.

You are good at delegating tasks and are happy to assume responsibility for the LV design of an onshore substation.

Some of your key motivators are to be challenged daily on your personal and professional skills. Therefore, you must be able to draw on a strong analytical approach, enabling you to handle a range of complex tasks quickly.

We offer

A unique and challenging job where you have every opportunity to develop your skills, when you help to carry out some of the world's largest offshore wind projects.
