Qlikview Developer

Lancashire

£300 per day

6 month initial

My client provides a broad range of consultancy services, they are currently looking for an experienced Qlikview Developer.

The role involves working closely with all areas of the business taking business requirements for MI and turning them into clear, concise and accurate Management Information solutions.

The successful candidate will also be involved in the production of existing MI, auditing, developing existing MI applications, and general database and server maintenance to ensure timely and accurate MI delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new QlikView Business Intelligence documents from conception to completion, taking responsibility for design, development and deployment.

Using Qlikview best practices, designing the most efficient data model to create customised MI dashboards to user requirements.

Writing SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server, and developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.

Provide support for, and maintain SQL Server databases, developing these as necessary.

Audit existing MI to ensure accuracy, and monitor/alter daily scheduled routines.

Specific Skills & Experience

Essential

Previous experience developing Qlikview applications, preferably in a financial sector.

Knowledge of SQL Server queries

Desirable

Qlikview training and certification.

VBA or VBScript experience.

SQL Server knowledge with experience of optimizing queries. SSRS and SSIS knowledge is also desirable.

Strong analytical & problem solving skills, using the MI produced to identify opportunities and support decision making.
