IT Service Operations Manager

Currently seeking an experienced and competent IT Service Operations professional to work for our client based in near Waterloo.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role where you will have overall responsibility and accountability for the day to day operational management of IT Service Operations to the business, including infrastructure, (hardware, software and comms), staff and third party contracts required to plan for, develop, deliver and support appropriate IT services to meet the needs of the organisation.

As the successful IT Service Operations Manager you will have;
- 4+ years' experience with responsibility for delivering IT Services and managing operational staff
- ITIL Service Management qualified, ITIL practitioner level or above ideally
- Microsoft MCP or higher
- Proven experience of delivering projects on time and on budget within a Prince II environment
- Able to develop, implement and manage standards, policies and procedures
- Able to multi-task, work under pressure and experience of managing suppliers and IT support and maintenance agreements
- Strong technical knowledge in:
* Public and Hybrid cloud architectures, in particular based on Office 365 / Cloud / AWS
* Data Centre operations, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP
* Enterprise-level systems including MS exchange, AD, IIS and SQL Server
* Backup systems and storage technologies (NAS, SAN), Business Continuity Planning
* Server virtualization ideally based on VMWare
* Firewall, VPN and remote working technologies
