IT Project Manager

£250 - £300 per day
IT Project Manager ( Retail ) is required on an initial 3 - 6 months contract to deliver enterprise class IT Project Management services on site for a retail client based in London
The role:
As the IT Project Management you will be responsible for managing and driving opportunities through to successful project completion/ delivery.
Working closely with multiple clients you will be responsible for:
* Production and maintenance of the Project Initiation Document and Project Management Documents
* Responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of projects and bids
* Management of project scope and Change Control
* Create and execute plans and work breakdowns and revisions as appropriate
* Manage day-to-day vision scope and budgets of projects and bids.
* Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
* Communicate regular project updates internally and to Clients. Effective and timely escalation of project issues to the Project Sponsor
* Negotiation both internally and externally to resolve project risks and issues
* Assist with matrix people management processes
* Providing forecasts on future resource requirements based on predictions of pipeline
Package:
There is a competitive day rate of £250 - £300 per day, depending on experience, with the opportunity to manage projects in an ITIL environment working with a wide range of exciting technologies.
Essential IT Project Manager ( Retail ) skills:
* A recognized Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2 or equivalent)
* Varied vertical market experience, including software or data experience.
* Client facing experience
* Track record in successful project delivery; on time and on budget
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Managing budgets and tracking and mitigating risk
* Ability to work under pressure in order to achieve the required deadlines
* Experience of project management within a software development (including an appreciation of software testing practices) organisation
* Experience of working within an ecommerce environment
Ideal IT Project Manager ( Retail ) skills:
The Project Manager will ideally be Prince II certified and must have previous experience of working in client facing position ideally within the Retail Sector. The IT Project Manager will have a wide number of responsibilities including documentation, managing stakeholders and vendors and leading projects.
