Supply and Demand Manager
Financial services client in Chelmsford, Essex require a Supply and Demand Manager to join on a 6 months contract commencing in the New Year paying £600/day.
The Supply and Demand Manager is a key role in the Development Operations function, its purpose is the matching of approved development and operations demand from the business to the supply of resource from IT. The role will manage the demand for: (a) application and associated infrastructure fixes that impact the user's ability to use their applications on a day to day basis, and (b) all small and medium sized enhancements to the application estate.
This will involve:
Supply & Demand Process and Tools
The Supply and Demand Manager will own the Supply & Demand processes and tools. Initially they will be responsible for defining, documenting and communicating the process in accordance with the company's IT strategy and be responsible for its continuous improvement once in operation. This includes the:
*Agreement with key stakeholders on process flow and interfaces with other areas
*Ownership of Supply and Demand governance forums
*Development of required reports to support the process
*Training of IT staff required to execute delivery against agreed demand
*Proactively managing risks to the business by ensuring there are resources available to meet agreed demand
*Ensure impact assessment and validation of changes to ensure sufficient information/requirements were provided to facilitate prioritisation
Supply & Demand Governance
The Supply and Demand Manager will chair and attend key forums to facilitate the prioritisation process. The role will be responsible for:
*Inputs to Supply & Demand Forums, ensuring all relevant and available data is presented to inform decisions
*Chairing of the forum to ensure the correct outcomes are achieved and communicating business priorities
*Documentation of meeting outputs and ensuring all participants are clear on next steps
Supply & Demand Reporting
The Supply and Demand Manager will be responsible for the definition and running of regular Supply & Demand reporting to all relevant stakeholders. This should include:
*A clear articulation of the priorities
*Progress against these priorities from a budget and release perspective
*Monitoring of forecast team capacity data to manage peaks and troughs effectively
*Monitoring of demand data (location, type of change, business area etc.)
