Oracle BI Developer
My Client a Leading UK Bank is looking for a Oracle Business Intelligence Developer. This role is responsible for the ownership of the technical design, construction, delivery and support the banks Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions. In addition, the BI Development Consultant will provide in depth technical and business expertise to data warehouse users and developers and will be a key driver of the banks Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence technical strategy.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for ownership and delivery of all phases of the development life cycle Requirements Specification, System and Database Design Specification, Program Code, Test Plans and Implementation Scripts
Maintain effective stakeholder relationships with customers ensuring they're supportive of our strategic vision
Ensure that developments comply with all required standards regarding the banks Security (ITEC 2), Data Protection Act (DPA), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Basel II as appropriate.
Key Knowledge
Good understanding of data warehousing principles and design, ideally dimensional modelling (Ralph Kimball) techniques.
Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Sound knowledge of specialist technologies in a number of the following areas:
Oracle PL/SQL
Unix Shell Scripting
SAS
Business Objects XI - Universe design
Deski/Webi
vb.net/asp.net/C#
Relational Database development i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata
