Data Warehouse Developer

£400 - £475 per day. D.O.E
A Data Warehouse Developer is required to join a leading client on an initial 3 months' contract.
As the Data Warehouse Developer you will be supporting the maintenance and development of the client's data warehouse, as well as ensuring the availability of the client's operational data store (ODS). The role will also call for interaction with the wide team in terms of understanding the client's data requirements and the pipeline for data warehouse developments as well as the communication of these developments to the team.
Key duties and responsibilities for the Data Warehouse Developer include:
* Undertake maintenance, development and testing of client's Agile Data Warehouse and ODS
* Development of approved alterations to production code and OLAP cubes
* Design and guidance of relational and dimensional models
* Setting up Continuous integration (CI)
* Undertake Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)
* Documentation of DW/ODS developments and procedures
Essential skills and experience are as follows:
* SQL Server
* Strong knowledge of the Data warehouse and Agile development lifecycle
* SSIS
* SSAS OLAP Cube deployment
* TDD and CI
* Master Data Services (MDS)
* Data quality studio (DQS)
* Excellent relational and dimensional modelling design (Kimball methodology)
* Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
* Star Schema/Snowflake
