Who are we? Lighthaus Design is an interactive agency that has been around since 1998. We do great work for great clients and want you to be part of the team. We respect talent. We give you time to do the work correctly, and emergency projects are rare and not the norm. We pay on time. We do not call or pester you on weekends or after hours.
Is this job for you? What we need is very specific, so please read this paragraph and take it to heart. We need a CMS guru. Specifically, someone who has advanced skills with ExpressionEngine and WordPress. Don't know both, but are really good at just one? That's fine too. You are not an agency. You are a solo freelancer. You live and work in the U.S. - preferably on the eastern half of the U.S.
What skills do you need?
Development
- Can write hand-coded, cross-browser compatible, standards-based HTML and CSS
- Comfortable building scaleable, responsive, optimized front-ends from start to finish
- You're really good at taking someone else's responsivly coded HTML/CSS templates and integrating them into WordPress and/or ExpressionEngine.
- Experience with PHP is nice but not needed
- You are organized. You take notes and make sure you understand project scope before doing anything.
- You're a good listener.
- You're not a robot. You can take our ideas and tell us there is a better way.
- You make your deadlines and you take them seriously.
- You reply to emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
- Must be team-oriented but works well independently
- Respects time management
