Must be very strong PL/SQL experience will be considered and active with Oracle experience. Candidate must think independently, but still work well with others. Ability to jump in and take initiative in conducting research on emerging application development software products and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Prefer BA in computer science; oracle certification would be helpful. Manager will look to conduct first round of interview by phone screening, then next step onsite interviews.

Job Description: We are looking for a senior Oracle Developer who has an understanding of DBA activities. The senior Oracle developer's primary job function is to analyse, design, develop, test, tune, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. They will be able to weigh business decisions against technical best practices, and will determine the solution that provides the best combination of functionality, performance, and ease of maintenance. The developer will be able to directly engage in design discussions, and demonstrate the ability to see the application from the user's point of view, at the subsystem level or higher. Only candidates with very strong PL/SQL experience will be considered.

Responsibilities * Read and map complex DDL (views, tables, etc) * Read, write and test complex DML (insert, update, delete) * Read, write and test SQL*Plus scripts * Ability to direct the construction of packages, procedures, triggers and PL/SQL blocks in Oracle * Knowledge of database architecture and best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding style and application tuning * Prepare system design documents, use cases, test cases and other systems documentation * Implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high-level to meet the service levels associated with mission-critical Oracle-based solutions * Communicate clearly both verbally and through documentation * Perform deployment and versioning of Oracle packages and objects * Maintain a current awareness of technological developments and trends as it relates to databases, development methodologies and tools * Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

Qualifications * 8+ years of PL/SQL development * 8+ years writing packages, procedures, functions and triggers * 8+ years creating tables with constraints that are indexed * 5+ years writing using SQL * 5+ years writing SQL*Plus scripts * 3+ years' experience in performance tuning, application monitoring and support of production applications * Capable of understanding and writing ANSI and traditional Oracle inner and outer joins * Capable of working with and writing nested queries and subqueries * Moderate knowledge of data modelling * Excellent documentation experience using appropriate tools * Excellent written, verbal , organizational and presentational skills * Excellent analytical ability and judgment * Excellent time management skills * Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: computer science, management information systems * Require minimal supervision

Beneficial Skills * Moderate knowledge of database administration including the manipulation of system tables * Basic understanding of Java * Basic understanding of .net * Experience with TOAD or SQL Developer * Experience with ERWIN, Visio or other data modelling tools * Oracle certified professional
