Exciting opportunity to join our FTSE 100 client who is one of the UK's leading independent financial service providers and asset management specialists based in Bristol who pride themselves on high level of service.
This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join a brand new team of highly ambitious developers within this great company, initially on a 6 month contract possibly with the option to extend.
All code is Java 8, making full use of lambas, the new Stream API, and Optionals (no nulls allowed!). They work in an agile way, with sprints (planned in Jira), retrospectives, automated testing (using Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, PhantomJS), and an automated build server (Jenkins), and product-centric development.
About the role:
They're putting together a brand new team to develop a new high transactional platform to roll out to their clients. This is green-field development run in an agile way, with lots of scope for input from the team of developers to shape the product and the business. You will work on the logic of the matching engine, loan management, and integration with existing back-office systems.
Skills & Experience:
You will be an experienced Java developer, with Spring technology, Oracle and/or ActiveMQ experience.
You will be familiar with the following: Spring/Oracle/Hibernate/ Agile/ Java 7/8
