Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Fund Accountant to join an established and successful business on a long term fixed contract.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking monitoring of processes and controls at suppliers, to ensure the delivery of consistently accurate and timely daily prices, making sure issues are escalated in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking validation checks on daily prices, Out of tolerance movements, Share class divergence and dilution application to ensure the accuracy of prices delivered to the end customer.
  • Monitoring the application of accounting policies and changes in accounting policies by suppliers, ensuring these are being correctly applied and that any errors in their application are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Performing analytical reviews of monthly fund trial balances from suppliers, ensuring results are in line with expectation and any unexpected movements are identified and resolved in a timely manner and are communicated to all interested parties.
  • Awareness of and ensuring consistent application of the Pricing Issue Decision Matrix.
  • Supporting the Accounting Manager in overseeing the relationship with suppliers providing input where necessary to influence their performance where Service Levels fall below those required to meet the obligations to customers.
  • Producing timely and accurate KPI's and Dashboards to monitor service levels from service providers and to clients.
  • Ensuring all identified controls for the function, including SSAE16 and Risk Control assessments are being consistently applied and any agreed actions to improve controls are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking any projects or tasks as may be required from time to time by the Accounting Manager. Keeping the Accounting Manager informed on a timely basis of issues and matters arising.
  • Ensuring best practice within the business, including ensuring procedure notes are in place and up to date for all processes, and initiate and deliver any change process which may be required.

Desired Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally possess/be working towards a professional accounting qualification along with established fund accounting experience.
