C# .NET Developer WCF Server Side Web Services Rest Soap MVC SQL
My client is a long established and internationally recognised "fintech" organisation serving the worlds leading investment banks and hedge funds. They require an exceptional .NET developer to develop and expand their data delivery platforms.
THE ROLE:

Develop & expand new & existing data delivery platforms and applications that incorporate sophisticated business logic and work flow requirements

Work closely with client support analysts, implementation managers, sales consultants and data teams across the business to develop product features and resolve client queries.

Audit, coordinate & own technical issues that affect data delivery clients and resolve them in a timely manner

Proactively communicate highly technical, complicated information to clients and multiple departments throughout the organization.

Be responsible for proactively evaluating, monitoring and improving data delivery platform performance and functionality.

Build a solid foundation on data delivery client's solutions, the data sets they use as well as the regulatory landscape that impacts data delivery clients

Use an innovative approach to contribute to the business in ways that range from communicating client feedback to product managers, liaising with internal and stakeholders and working with external data vendors, all the while contributing to changing and enhancing processes.
SKILLS REQUIRED:

A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, or equivalent, is required.

Strong experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)

Approximately 30% of the role will involve development with Microsoft SQL Server, developing efficient and performant database applications.

Strong knowledge and practical experience of relational databases and best-practice database design.

An understanding of Object-Oriented application principles; experience using Microsoft .NET and .NET development languages.

Proficient development capabilities in building HTTP web, SOAP & REST based web service applications from the ground up using industry standard technologies and languages such as C# ASP.NET, IIS, HTML XML/XSD/XSLT/XPath, etc.
