At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world's leading manufacturers, and due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Supplier Integration Liaison Manager to be based at our client's office in Coventry for a 6 month initial contract.

The role will be part of the Product Creation, Process and Operations department within a Global Supplier Integration Team (GSI), who are responsible for: Planning the capacity & resources within Product Creation. Planning & improve the processes & tools. Planning & deliver the product definition & BOM. Support & enable the vehicle & powertrain teams.

The GSI Team acts as a single point of contact for the client supplier community working within the product creation PLM (Product life cycle Management) environment. The team is dedicated to implementing consistent tools and processes across the client extended enterprise to ensure seamless client & supplier collaboration during the product creation process.

The Global Supplier Integration Team is involved in the following activities: Supplier on-boarding (to tools, processes & working methods) All aspects of supplier PLM integration.

  • Supplier integration management.
  • Global business expansion.
  • Supplier Improvement.

The Role

This is one of a number of roles to support a rapid application roll-out to all of the client manufacturing suppliers.

Responsibilities include:

Contacting suppliers to ensure compliance to the application requirements.

Organising & running events (direct face to face or web/telephone based) to support the above activities.
Working with 3rd party technical solution providers to resolve supplier issues.

Maintaining supplier and purchase data as vehicle assumptions change.

Overcome supplier (none technical) roadblocks effectively.

Maintain supplier contact and progress information within a database.

Help with the production of status metrics, and response accordingly based on metrics output.

The Person

Three essential skills required:

Strong negotiation skills.

Strong Engagement & face to face Communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple issues (while in discussions with many suppliers) in a professional manner.

Experience and qualifications required:

1) Experience of working with many, globally dispersed companies.

2) Experience of a "customer first" approach and delivery to SLAs.

3) Experience of global software implementation business issue resolution.

4) Experience of working to a measured approach ie creation of progress metrics and responding accordingly.

Desirable experience & qualifications:

5) Proven experience of engagement with an IT department, in implementing technological solutions.

6) Proven track record in Project Management and implementation of technological solutions.

7) Proven experience of business engagement and internal communication, including demonstrable stakeholder and relationship management experience.

This roll would ideally suit some-one who has had IT Business Relationship Management or IT Project Management experience or has worked within a dynamic software sales organisation and is looking to adapt those skills to global supplier community management for a major automotive OEM.
