Connect44 are seeking an Exadata certified Engineer for level 2 services. It's very important that this person is certified in Exadata.
The work is on a contracting basis in Madrid. 1 year Duration.
Oracle Database administration:
o Alert review and status supervision
o Applying configuration changes/pass to production
o User account management
o Reconstructing indexes
o Reorganizing tables
o Replica supervision
o Statistics generation
o Definition of parameters to be monitored
o Ensure the database space
o Database tuning
o SWL sentence review (top 10 of the most harmful to databases)
o Definition of criteria to generate queries
o Managing support incidents with the manufacturers (management of the L3 contract provided by Jazztel for the service, where the owner and responsible for it is the administration team itself)
o Planning the team needs in a yearly basis to perform budgets in advance
Corrective and preventive maintenance of the databases, such as Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and SQL Server (if delegated in the Wintel team, all these functions are inherited), including their Cluster, Replication and Partitioning solutions.
Database Capacity Management, escalating any resource need with time enough
Installation and configuration of new Databases such as Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and SQL Server, including the Cluster (RAC), Replication (Dataguard or views), Partitioning and Golden Gate.
Installation, configuration and maintenance of any software included in the Database distribution within the Oracle ULA agreement of unlimited deployment, among which it is worth to mention the Database management tools (Grid Control).
Maintenance of the Database Security, that is, management of user and groups, system use policies, access control, data access management, patch updates as required, antivirus evolution and maintenance, removing unused services in order to prevent attack risks and to reduce process load of the server.
Patch, firmware and supported versions upgrades (due to incidents, problems or technology evolution because of obsolescence, EOL or provider recommendation), as well as migration of systems to newer or advanced technologies.
Ensure Database monitoring, performed through the product approved by Jazztel for this function, declaring the critical variables for the operation and implementing the scripts/processes required to requested complex checks.
Ensure the Database backup, performed through the official product approved by Jazztel for this function, as well as performing regular integrity checks.
Escalate to the team owner of inventories, any error in these inventories.
Respond to the vulnerabilities analysis of the technological security department, carrying out the appropriate tasks to be aligned with the established policies.
Develop the required scripts to perform the administrative functions included in this catalog.
Database object migration/copy tasks using any selected method (export/import, RMAN, mysqldump, ), ensuring the integrity of data during the migration in the less time possible, participating in the decision of the best technical mechanism to carry out this task.
Implementation of table or view history processes in third-party database schemes, participating in the decision of the best technical mechanism to carry out this task.
Question management and support to the design of new services related to Databases which may be made from Jazztel to provide feasibility to projects or special requests.
Any proactive task in order to improve the service quality, system availability and platform assurance in a functional, operating and security level.
Oracle Database Management and Control using the Grid Control tool is essential, for which at least a profile with senior technical knowledge in this tool is required.
An important task to be carried out along the contract lifetime and that must be considered when preparing this service, is to reduce the System provision time and manage all the Oracle databases using the Cloud Control. In addition, this team is in charge of end-to-end management of the Exadata platforms, preserving at any time the patch level demanded by the Oracle Premium support
