Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on their offshore wind farm project in the UK. Initially the role will be for OFTO Maintenance Manager setting up the OFTO maintenance regime in co-operation with the relevant Project Package Managers. You will be reporting directly to the Construction Project Manager. Our client is looking for the SAP to be able to start this role from the 1st of February up until approx. 31st January 2018. Hours of work will be 10 - 12 hours a day/7 days a week with shift pattern ofr two weeks on duty followed by a two weeks off duty. An on-call-rota must be expected.

Job description:
  • Prior to energisation of the Onshore Substation, the 400Kv SAP/CE will be transferred to the Onshore Construction site where he/she will be reporting directly to the Lead SAP for maintaining the following tasks
  • Define safety procedures for electrical matters in accordance with the clients Electrical Safety rules
  • Integrate a permit to work system in compliance with the clients HSE management system.
  • Take part in design risk assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, and FAT's
  • Input to the onshore substation energisation and commissioning program & plan
  • Coordinate On-/offshore substation and WTG HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages
  • Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment
  • Oversee all onshore substation MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network
  • Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled within setting up a OFTO Maintenance regime
  • 400 Kv SAP & corresponding Control Engineer
  • Energy Electrical Safety Rules throughout the project
  • Setting up and execute the control engineer function for the overall wind farm, Onshore Substation, offshore substation and WTG's.
  • Single point of contact for National Grid during energisation and commissioning phase
  • Highly technical skills and insight in Onshore substation energisation and commissioning activities, including termination and testing of transmission/export cables
