VAT Accountant - Edinburgh - £DOE
Currently recruiting for a VAT Accountant to join a leading Investment Management Firm. As VAT Accountant you will be responsible for gathering and renewing data for EMEA VAT returns as well as preparing and reviewing the returns.
About the role:
- You will be responsible for ensuring the VAT returns are accurate, reconciled and completed.
- Guarantee that VAT payments will be made in time along with indirect tax liabilities.
- Review and complete partial exemption calculations
- Responding to VAT queries
- Assist with tax projects
- Complete the VAT balance sheet, posting any adjustments to Oracle General Ledger and prompt resolutions.
Essential skills:
- Qualified Accountant or Part-Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA or CIMA with experience
- Previous experience working within VAT
- Ability to develop good working relationships
- Possessing attention to detail and have a methodical approach to tasks
- Good analytical skills
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience in Financial Services
- Multi-lingual
