Description

Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Dublin City Centre

Contract Duration: 6 Months

A major international client is currently seeking a senior software automation engineer to join their reporting team. Ideally the candidate would have experience interacting with and testing against low level Java and C++ applications. Good knowledge of high performance, distributed systems is essential.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the design and development of testing frameworks and technologies


  • Develop test patterns to evaluate the solutions for performance, scalability, security and reliability
  • As part of the reporting team, work closely with the scrum teams to ensure that the architecture conforms to standards for testability, reliability, scalability and performance.
  • Contribute to our Agile development process as a scrum team member from requirements analysis and design up through final feature acceptance and deployment
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • You need to have an exceptional imagination with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5 years+ in software engineering/automation/QA role
  • Programming skills: Java (Enterprise and Web Services), Selenium, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience (Advantage)
  • Operating systems: Excellent Linux/Unix skills, Windows
  • Databases: MySQL, Oracle
  • Other: TCP/IP, HTTP, Performance/Load testing Unix systems, Selenium, Eclipse, Soapui Solid experience with Distributed systems
  • Solid experience with automated testing of a protocol-based solution
  • Experience working with agile methodologies would also be of benefit.
