Senior Technical Architect - Consider contracting abroad?

Oslo, Norway

6 month contract

Job Overview:

Performs the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development

Key Technical skills:

Good understanding of overall IT infrastructure technologies
Ability to design and guide solution the below areas
Virtualization
Good understand of x86 and Unix technologies
Good understanding of storage and data backup solution
Experience in data center consolidation and optimization
Ability to create IT infrastructure roadmap
Good understanding of networking (Converged Network, LAN, WAN)
Good understanding of designing security
Good understanding of End user computing
Knowledge of Data Center Concepts, Industry trends, Tools and Best practices
Application awareness could include SharePoint, Exchange, Database, Middleware, Web service

Other requirements:

Certification such as TOGAF is a value add
Ability to handle a team of architects

Experience in manufacturing/research industry would be added advantage:

To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements

To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology

To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices

To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and deliver risks are mitigated

Reviews on the architecture and design deliverables and support as an SME

To architect/design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
