Exadata Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Exadata Engineer to join their business in Spain.
Position Title: Exadata Engineer

Responsibilities:
- E2E management of Exadata Platforms
- Database administration and monitoring
- Managing support incidents with the manufacturer's
- Corrective and preventive maintenance of the databases, such as Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and SQL Server (if delegated in the Wintel team, all these functions are inherited), including their Cluster, Replication and Partitioning solutions
- Database Capacity Management, escalating any resource need with time enough
- Installation and configuration of new Databases such as Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and SQL Server, including the Cluster (RAC), Replication (Dataguard or views), Partitioning and Golden Gate
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of any softwareincluded in the Database distribution within the Oracle ULAagreement of unlimited deployment, among which it is worth to mention the Database management tools (Grid Control)
- Maintenance of the Database Security
- Patch, firmware and supported versions upgrades (due to incidents, problems or technology evolution because of obsolescence, EOL or provider recommendation), as well as migration of systems to newer or advanced technologies
- Ensure the Database backup
- Escalate to the team owner of inventories, any error in these inventories
- Develop the required scripts to perform the administrative functions included in this catalog
Qualifications:
- Certified DBA with strong Exadata background
- Experience using Cloud Control
- Spanish fluent, English Intermediate
