SOM Capability Lead - SOM/ITIL/Service/Media/Broadcast

My Client, a market leading Broadcast/Media company, are currently recruiting for a SOM (Service Operations Management) Capability Lead on an initial 5 month contract. The SOM Capability Lead will contribute to the overall SOM strategy and vision through introducing the fully aligned operational capability. This is to provide capability for the on-boarding Service Towers into the new operation model. The SOM Capability Lead will require a full understanding of the companies Operating Model to be able to carry out transition and implementation of the capability into the companies SOM Operating Model.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a capability workstream which underpins the overall objectives of the SOM strategy, vision and design
  • Managing the capability deliverables and supporting stakeholders against the agreed timeframe
  • Performing and assuring the quality of the deliverable is fit for purpose, consistent with the overall SOM Solution and other capability areas
  • Ensuring standards are adhered to in the design and implementation of the capability workstream, in order to provide a consistent look, feel and outcome across the programme and SOM design
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and practitioner in order to analyse and validate Service Management capabilities which already exist in the company, identify gaps, and propose actions to remediate these in order to utilise the finalised processes in the development of the SOM Operating Model

Essential experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and Service Management practices
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and Service Management practices.
  • 5 + years of design and implementation of Service Management practices into a multi-supplier model (internal and external)
  • 5+ years of leading organisational change of Service Management practices into a multi-supplier model (internal and external)
  • 5 + years of worked in an operational capacity and implemented Service Management practices into a SIAM model, or a multi-supplier model (internal and external)
  • Extensive experience in working in a Service Assurance/Delivery environment and implementing ITIL/service management strategy, operations, capabilities, processes and tooling.
  • Good experience of large scale technology programmes and IT infrastructure environments.
  • ITIL qualified - ITIL Expert accreditation (minimum)
  • ITIL qualified - Intermediate Qualification (preferred)
  • CoBiT qualified - (preferred)
  • Information Technology degree, or equivalent professional qualification/experience.
