Description
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer for an immediate start!!They would have to be available immediately - expected start date is next Tuesday, 26th January - and be located in Malmesbury, nr Swindon. .
Rough requirements from the SOW:
- Perform User Acceptance Testing for connected products. Test products through the eyes of a user as well as a Software Engineer.
- Ensure products meet acceptance criteria
- Broad knowledge of programming / scripting languages and test tools.
- Knowledge of Linux, Splunk [Splunk is nice-to-have but not essential]
- Experience using Jira or similar tools to raise and track tickets.
- Supervise activities of Junior Test Engineer
What also is essential for this person:
- good attention to detail
- ability to spot errors and flaws in execution or application behaviour
- ability to suggest sensible improvements
- knowledge of wi-fi set-up benefitical
- ability to understand basic internet-type protocols like http and mqtt
- familiarity with Linux, curl and test utilities
- good with Excel and JIRA
- understanding of - cloud- architecture and general mobile application development/deployment approaches
