Description
On behalf of an established company with its offices based in Cheshire, I am looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support them with a two phase project. This role is expected to last 9months+ in total. We have interview slots for later next week with a view for the successful candidate to start Mid February. Good rates with one day working from home per week are on offer.The first phase will involve an initial verification, investigation & work scope around the migration of their systems & the best processes and practise's to complete it. The second stage will involve actually doing the work and delivering a new simulation project to their end client. The current system are having reliability issues and needs to be upgraded. You will also be expected work autonomously, to meet with the client & third parties.
The skill set which we are looking for includes someone who has worked with C programming for years (6 years+) and is comfortable working on migrations / larger projects. They are wanting to transfer from a IRIX system, working with C & ADA to a linux one. Candidates who have worked on simulation projects are encouraged to apply. Anyone who has hardware experience is a bonus, but not essential.
Strong experience of User acceptance testing and documentation are needed.
